Borla Performance once again leads the industry with an incredible new XR-1® Exhaust for the head-turning Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII import hot-rod. Borla recognized this sophisticated performance effort from the start and designed a killer system utilizing its patented and proprietary XR-1® Multi-Core Raceline Technology. XR-1® is unique to Borla exhaust and reserved for high-end performance vehicles like the Cobra R and C5-R Corvettes. This system (part #140056) is a direct bolt-on that boasts an incredible flow increase of 368CFM. More flow means more power, and if you tune this turbocharged super import, that flow will allow even more power. Borla has more experience with sophisticated high-end racecars and super cars than any exhaust company. This new Borla XR-1® was bred from wins at Sebring, Indy, LeMans and thousands of professional races around the world. The unique design meets all emission requirements and fits both the automatic and the manual transmission equipped Evo VIII. Clever engineering from the Borla R&D staff provides a full 3" system that exits with a super looking Borla embossed 4” angle cut, rolled edge, single round polished tip. When you get a close look inside this muffler, you can see the patented XR-1® multi cores. Add a hot Borla Header (part #17220) for the look and sound of total performance. Our header is compatible with the stock exhaust as well and is ceramic coated for better heat retention.
