BORLA Performance Industries is excited to introduce several new 2016 Camaro SS exhaust systems.
Engineered specifically for the 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine, the 2.75” diameter exhausts are designed to be drone-free and offer a variety of options in terms of sound level, as well as a combination of parts.
When it comes to improving the exhaust note from the big V8, owners can select the S-Type muffler, giving you a throaty, aggressive sound with mild cruising nose levels. For those that want more, the BORLA ATAK® muffler offers the most aggressive exhaust possible without sacrificing your neighbor’s goodwill. And don’t worry about sacrificing your Chevrolet Dual Mode NPP exhaust option – BORLA manufacturers its own exhaust valves to ensure the Dual Mode still works like the factory option – but with a better sound and more aggressive note.
Another option is a mid-pipe that can be added to the rear-section mufflers. It is designed to enhance back pressure and sound quality during low emissions driving mode. While eradicating restrictions, airflow is improved and performance is aided without increasing the sound volume.
Additionally, the mid-pipe offers a third volume level for those not interested in either the ATAK or S-Type mufflers. BORLA offers a Touring resonator for the mid-pipe. This can be used in combination with either muffler option to provide a milder, yet still distinctive growl.
