For those of you who don’t consider the legendary Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and Charger SRT Hellcat mighty enough, BORLA® has some new Hellcat exhaust system options that should raise your pulse even higher!
At 707hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, the Hellcat is the most powerful production muscle car ever made, by a healthy margin. However, there’s no such thing as “Too Much,” and BORLA has created both exhaust systems and Long Tube Headers to satisfy the tuning itch in every owner.
Given BORLA’s historic association with muscle cars past and present, it made perfect sense for its R&D team in Oxnard, CA to create exhaust systems and headers that would extract the sound and performance your Hellcat deserves.
Hellcat owners can choose a BORLA Hellcat exhaust system that incorporates either S-Type or ATAK® mufflers. Both provide a similar power increase but the ATAK mufflers deliver an aggressive, muscular sound and the highest decibel level available in the BORLA street-legal lineup, without offending your neighbor’s ears when driving around home. Owners looking for the BORLA Sound of Power and performance without the extra decibels might prefer the S-Type mufflers as part of their exhaust system, which also provides a great V8 sound and a significant improvement over stock.
Whatever exhaust system you select, both types of mufflers are available with either Active Exhaust Valves or Valve Simulators. The Active Exhaust Valves by BORLA replicate the Dodge Dual Mode exhaust valves and allow you to select from two different exhaust volume levels, just like the factory exhaust. The Valve Simulators are intended for racing use and allow the valve system to be eliminated but ensure the car doesn’t show a Check Engine Light.
Owners who intend to use their Hellcat on the track will also be interested in the BORLA Long Tube Headers, which are compatible with the aforementioned exhaust systems.
The Long Tube Headers were again designed and engineered specifically for the 2015-16 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat 6.2L and SRT 392 6.4L models. They are purpose-built to deliver more horsepower and torque than stock, improving your Hemi’s performance throughout the rev range by increasing exhaust gas flow, reducing resistance and allowing the engine to breathe more efficiently.
