Listen up, EcoBoost owners! BORLA® is excited to announce a Ford F-150 Turbocharger Upgrade Kit for the 3.5L EcoBoost engine.
Debuted at SEMA 2016, the Turbocharger Upgrade Kit adds triple-digit horsepower gains while delivering an unforgettable exhaust note that will satisfy every Ford truck fan.
The kit is built around two bolt-on, high-flow turbochargers, designed in collaboration with BorgWarner. They have been optimized for internal airflow and tuned specifically for this application.
When used in unison with the complete Turbocharger Upgrade Kit, owners can expect reliable power increases in the region of 160hp from the EcoBoost engine when used in conjunction with BORLA cat-less downpipes (not included in the Turbocharger Upgrade Kit).
In addition to the turbos, the Turbocharger Upgrade Kit includes an exclusive BORLA True Dual Cat-Back™ Exhaust system. It has again been designed specifically for the F-150 and, as always, the exhaust is manufactured from aerospace-grade T-304 stainless steel. The drone-free exhaust is available with the option of either a split rear exit or dual side exit design. Both options utilize BORLA S-Type mufflers, which provides plenty of snarl without being blacklisted by your neighbors.
To round out the performance gains, the Turbocharger Upgrade Kit incorporates an SCT X4 Tuner from 5 Star Tuning, performance air filter and six NGK Iridium spark plugs.
The result of this endeavor is a Turbocharger Upgrade Kit that costs only $4,495 and produces significantly more power than stock. It will simultaneously transform the performance and soundtrack of your F-150 EcoBoost to rival the growl from any of its V8 counterparts.
As a further development, and intended for unregistered racing vehicles only, BORLA is finalizing the production versions of its cat-less downpipes for the F-150 EcoBoost Turbocharger Upgrade Kits. These will be available shortly.
