The all-new 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 exhaust is the latest Camaro variant to be getting the BORLA treatment. As one of the most highly anticipated muscle cars of 2017, it’s poised to take names and shatter egos at the drag strip and on the track.
The 2017 Camaro ZL1 takes everything you love about the sixth-generation Camaro and turns the dial past 11. It includes a 6.2-liter LT4 supercharged V8 engine, lifted from the C7 Corvette Z06, offering 650hp and 650 lb-ft. It has been mated to General Motors’ first application of a new 10-speed automatic transmission.
As you would expect, the performance is ridiculous. Camaro engineers revealed the ZL1 is capable of speeds north of 200mph and can generate more than 1g of cornering force. This Camaro means business.
With this in mind, the engineers at BORLA already have the ZL1 on the lift in the R&D facility in Oxnard, CA. They have begun their exploration into achieving the ideal exhaust note in performance increase from the new stainless steel exhaust.
