Corvette fans take note - in early 2018, Chevrolet is expected to unveil one of the most exciting Corvettes in recent years, the 2019 Chevrolet C8 Corvette. Chevy is set to reveal their newest Corvette soon. So what's in store for the 2019 C8 Corvette, and what new changes can fans of this classic sports car look forward to?
At BORLA, we're extremely excited about the release of the 2019 Chevrolet C8 Corvette and can't wait to begin providing top-of-the-line exhaust systems for the new Chevrolet Corvette owners. We plan to offer both axle-back and cat-back exhaust systems for the new Corvette that will each come in Touring, S-Type, and ATAK muffler sound levels. Part of the legendary BORLA exhaust sound includes our unique "no-drone" feature that gives you quiet ride at cruising speeds but delivering growl and roar during take-off and slow-down. Specialized headers will also be available to complete the pulse-pounding BORLA experience. If you want to take your 2019 Corvette to the next level, a custom exhaust system from BORLA is the perfect solution.
So far, several different variations of the mid-engine Corvette have been confirmed. The first is the 2019 C8 Zora, which is the most talked about car model Chevrolet will unveil and the model which features the mid-engine configuration. Another Corvette model due in 2019, though, is the C7 ZR1, which will feature the classic front-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration and is expected to boast a horsepower somewhere in the range of 700+. The 2018 Corvette ZR1 will continue the C7 legacy for another year. In addition to these two models, GM is also expected to release two other variants of the Corvette under the Cadillac brand. GM has trademarked the name "Manta Ray" for a performance-based variant of the supercar and has also trademarked the name "E-Ray" which is rumored to be the name of a performance hybrid of the C8 Corvette. Neither of these models has yet been confirmed, but they are expected and, if released, will also feature the mid-engine configuration of the 2019 C8 Corvette.
Of course, as with all new Corvettes, all of these models will come with a variety of exhaust options and the possibility for almost unlimited customization, giving Corvette fans plenty of variety into how they want their vehicle to look, sound, and perform. From Touring to
The 2019 Chevrolet C8 Corvette will feature a number of exciting new features, most notably being the switch to a mid-engine figuration. For several generations, Corvettes have always sported a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration. However, the switch to a mid-engine is something Corvette enthusiasts have been looking forward to for a while now. If you can look past the higher cost of the mid-engine configuration, the superior handling that it will deliver is certainly something worth getting excited about.
As far as design changes go, however, you won't be mistaking the Chevrolet Corvette for any other mid-engine sports car - the C8's design is still classic Corvette through and through. Spy shots of the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette show what look to be a few aero tweaks as well as enlarged air intakes. All said, the 2019 Corvette looks to be a stunning vehicle with the performance to match, continuing the tradition of excellence that Corvette enthusiasts have come to expect.
