Corvette fans take note - Chevrolet has unveiled one of the most exciting Corvettes in recent years, the Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray. BORLA® will be pulling out all the stops for the new Corvette. We have purchased our very own C8 Corvette and should be taking delivery in Spring 2020. This will allow us to do our due diligence during R&D and perform all the necessary testing to ensure that we provide the absolute best in performance and sound.
At BORLA®, we're extremely excited about the release of the Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray and can't wait to begin providing top-of-the-line exhaust systems for the new Chevrolet Corvette owners. We plan to offer Cat-Back exhaust systems for the new Corvette that will come in our Touring, S-Type, and ATAK® sound levels. Part of the legendary BORLA® exhaust sound includes our unique "no-drone" feature that gives you a quiet ride at cruising speeds, but delivering growl and roar during acceleration and deceleration. If you want to take your C8 Corvette to the next level, a tuned exhaust system from BORLA® is the perfect solution.
The Chevrolet C8 Corvette will feature a number of exciting new features, most notably being the switch to a mid-engine figuration. For several generations, Corvettes have always sported a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration. However, the switch to a mid-engine is something Corvette enthusiasts have been looking forward to for a while now. If you can look past the higher cost of the mid-engine configuration, the superior handling that it will deliver is certainly something worth getting excited about.
As far as design changes go, however, you won't be mistaking the Chevrolet Corvette for any other mid-engine sports car - the C8's design is still classic Corvette through and through. The C8 Corvette is a stunning vehicle with the performance to match, continuing the tradition of excellence that Corvette enthusiasts have come to expect.
There are three trim levels available in the new Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray: 1LT, 2LT, and the 3LT. In typical Corvette fashion, customers will have the option between a coupe and a convertible configuration. All trim levels will be equipped with Chevrolet’s brand new LT2 engine that produces 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Those numbers get a slight increase with the C8’s performance exhaust option which bumps the power to 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The new 6.2L engine cranks out more power and more torque than the LT1 found in the previous generation C7 Corvette and is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with no manual transmission available.
Regardless of trim level and exhaust option you have, BORLA® will have an exhaust solution for you. We plan to offer Cat-Back exhaust systems in our Touring, S-Type, and ATAK sound levels. We will also have multiple tip options such as polished, ceramic black, and carbon fiber. In addition, separate systems will be available for C8 Corvettes with the standard exhaust and those equipped with the performance exhaust option from the factory. Our NPP dual mode exhaust will include valves that work with the stock valve actuator in order to keep the performance exhaust functionality. This allows you to control the volume of your BORLA® exhaust regardless of the sound level that you choose. Every system will be specifically tuned for flow, sound, and no drone on the C8’s new 6.2L engine. As always, all of our products will be made using T-304 stainless steel and will be backed by the BORLA® Million-Mile Warranty. From multiple sound levels to different tip styles, we give you options for the new C8 Corvette. Choose how you want to be heard, choose BORLA®.
Take your C8 Corvette to the next level of sound, performance, and aesthetics with performance exhaust options from BORLA!
