Borla Performance announces two new header combinations for the S197 platform: 2005-10 Mustang V8 packages (stick or auto). The BORLA long tube headers can be found winning races around the world. The Mustang GT (PN 17242) and the Shelby GT500 (PN 17243) long tubes are lightweight and durable stainless steel units including thick stainless warp proof flanges, full merge collectors and incredible performance.
The BORLA long tube 1¾” headers are featured on all the Ford Racing backed Miller Cup Mustang Series race cars. These headers are for competition use only and are designed to be used with vehicles equipped with extensive performance upgrades. This is a race header and not recommended for emission controlled vehicles.
The engineering creativity of these headers allows excellent access to the engine components. Clutch and Flywheel as well as starter can be changed without removal of the headers, unlike most other brands.
These headers were designed by racers for racers. Equipped with a bung for the OEM oxygen sensor for use with the factory ECU. Lighter then every header we tested. Outstanding torque improvement which Mod Motor Ford guys will recognize as a super plus.

This Long Tube Header system is the same as the 17237 but does not include the "X " pipe so that it can be used with systems that already include the "X" pipe. All induction modifications benenfit from the use of this header. It is intended for off-road/racing use only.
