System Specifications and Features
Available Configurations
Borla offers Cat-Back and Axle-Back systems for the EcoBoost Mustang. The Cat-Back system replaces everything from the catalytic converters back. The Axle-Back system replaces the rear section only, uses a 2.5" pipe diameter, and is available in S-Type only. It is designed for EcoBoost models NOT equipped with the factory Active Exhaust feature.
Sound Levels by Configuration
The Cat-Back system is available in both S-Type and ATAK sound levels. The Axle-Back is available in S-Type only. Both the S-Type and ATAK have been tuned for the 2.3L EcoBoost engine and use Borla's patented multi-core technology to eliminate drone and cabin resonance.
Pipe Diameter and Tip Options
Both the Cat-Back and Axle-Back systems use a 2.5" pipe diameter with 4" tips. On Cat-Back systems, Active Exhaust models receive quad tips by default. Non-Active Exhaust models receive dual tips as standard, with a quad tip option available that requires installing the OE quad tip valance. Tip finishes are available in Chrome, Black Chrome, and Carbon Fiber across both configurations.
Active Exhaust Compatibility
Borla Cat-Back systems are currently available for non-Active Exhaust EcoBoost Mustangs. A Cat-Back system for Active Exhaust models is coming soon. The Axle-Back system is for non-Active Exhaust cars only. Visit borla.com for availability updates.
Construction and Warranty
